WILD, WILD WILDFLOWERS - Snow-capped ridges and colorful wildflowers lined the course as a lone runner traversed the 2005 Wild, Wild West mountain marathon in the Sierra foothills west of Lone Pine. Spectacular scenery takes runners’ minds off the difficulty of this high-altitude trail marathon and its companion 10-miler.

Glenn Hattori accomplishes The Great Race of Agoura 5k/10k Challenge on a cold and misty spring morning. Both races run on a hilly course, he runs the 5k in 21:26 and 45:29 in the 10k.

HDR’s AT TEHACHAPI, August, 2004 : A whole host of High Desert Runners were on hand for the running of the Tehachapi Mountain Festival 5k and 10K in August, 2004. Of the 37 HDRs who ran that day, 28 stayed around for a post-race photo – note the large number of age-group medals handing around HDR necks!
